Diversify to Fortify

Almost all of us are aware of the primary components of food nutrition (fats, carbohydrates and proteins). Perhaps you've even heard of enzymes, which are critical in the digestion process. And of course, there are vitamins and minerals, for which there is a recommended daily allowance.

What you might not know is that the proper functioning of the human body and metabolism requires 72 (SEVENTY TWO!) trace elements. Sounds like a lot, eh? Guess how many are found in adequate amount in today's agriculturally produced foods? I'll give you a hint. It's barely a double digit number.

On a separate, but related note, I've gotten interested in transforming my experience of going out/dancing/socializing. The question I'm asking myself is: "What food, super-food or combination thereof could I consume that would give me the kind of free flowing energy that we mostly turn to alcohol, caffeine or chemical to experience?"

Good news! I've found an ancient (now called super) food source packed with protein & vitamins as well as some trace minerals that I haven't been getting. And a really interesting thing has happened. Besides an increase in mind clarity and body energy, my appetite is changing. I notice that when I have a serving in the morning, I have an experience I've rarely had in this lifetime...the feeling of being, truly, deeply, completely, sated! Full. Done. Wow! It's as if a craving I didn't know I had was satisfied.
