Directing the Movie Called "My Life"

As a coach, I've spent a significant amount of time supporting hundreds of people in their quest to change or grow in some part of their life where that change has eluded them. Of course, I've also been focused on refining this skill/capacity in generating my own dream life for over a decade. I wouldn't be much use as a coach if I wasn't walking the talk, right?!

But there's an interesting phenomenon. While there are many (nearly infinite) internal paths, external frameworks and thought leaders out there that promise us change and more of what we want, I've been interested in why some of them "stick" longer for me and some of them fade quickly in their usefulness. Have you noticed this in your own life?

Some of it, I've learned, is down to life stage and/or changing priorities for growth vs. other pursuits. In other words, sometimes we don't really want to learn and grow... we might rather have some adventures or simply relax for a while. But sometimes we really do want to grow and change and we are frustrated that we can't seem to make steady, sustainable progress, or, better yet, experience a dramatic breakthrough.

I've learned that there is something that's going on, operating mostly in the background of our conscious mind. It's a deceptively simple, yet profound, tool that anyone can use. And, I've been practicing and applying it in my own life for years. The experience of using it is something akin to becoming the director of my "life movie" rather than being an audience member. I invite you to find out more about it later in February. I typically offer this information in this way only a couple of times a year.
